Tansy owns Turning Tide Pilates, an award winning East Sussex Pilates Studio, established in 2007, and is also one of the fantastic team of teachers at Brighton Pilates Studio. Her interests lie in encouraging the body to return to more natural movement patterns, exploring the inter-relationships between body, mind and movement. Tansy was named the 2019 Muddy Stilettos Awards : Best Yoga/Pilates Instructor in Sussex.

I aim to create a caring and empathetic space where I can address the client's needs as an individual. I try to bring a sensitivity to classes in helping clients discover the joy of movement, become more aware, build strength and flexibility and improve their emotional well-being. I regularly attend classes and workshops in order to continually develop my practice and am currently a student of Body-Mind Centring with Embody Move UK, working towards a Somatic Practitioner qualification.

I have completed a wide range of specialised training over the years - including working with those in the older population, with osteoporosis, spinal conditions and increasingly fascial understanding

I can guide you towards a more balanced mind & body through an embodied practice of self-massages, Pilates and other restorative forms of movement and breath, Yoga Nidra (guided meditation). My goal is to give you tools to empower you to be at the centre of your health journey for a more resilient body and centered mind.
I consider my self as an holistic teacher as through my work based on Pilates, Shiatsu Shin Tai treatments and Moving Fascia® self-release I help people to be more conscious about the way they move and the restricted areas to release to find more sense of freedom.
I am a yoga teacher and bodywork practitioner with 3 decades of teaching and practice experience; I also teach somatic (Hanna) floor exercises and meditation.
