Thank you, that was fantastic! Most classes I get so carried away with the movement, I just drag the pain along with me, but this time thanks to your care and slow but not boring pace, I managed to breathe through the pain in my shoulders and not make it worse! Thank you!
Ana Barretxeguren created Moving Fascia through her extensive experience as a movement educator and her clinic practice as a Myofascial Release and Visceral manipulation practitioner.
Her commitment to help people recover from injury through healthy movement led Ana to develop a method that is based on the latest scientific research on connective tissue, and the way fascia impacts our movement.
The Moving Fascia Channel is our offer for all levels and abilities and our commitment to keep you moving through intelligent fascia focused movement and self-release from your own home.
Fascia is the connective tissue that envelopes every structure in our bodies. It changes its density and fluidity based on our anatomical and functional needs… as well as our lifestyle.
A sedentary lifestyle, injury or inflammation in the body can change the quality and build up of connective tissue restricting our mobility and the quality of our movement.Developed by leading movement educator Ana Barretxeguren, the Moving Fascia® method softens this unnecessary tension, restoring mobility and improving strength through whole body integration. The method is restorative and transformative, supporting the body's innate ability to move well, and helping you reach your goals whether that is reducing pain or beating your personal best.

What is fascia?
Fascia is the connective tissue that envelopes every structure in your body, from organ to muscle, to bone and nerve. A continual net that changes its density and fluidity in relation to the needs of each structure. These changes can be triggered by anatomical and functional needs of the tendon, ligament, muscle… as well as our lifestyle. Injury, inflammation, scar tissue and/or a sedentary lifestyle can lead to a disorder in the build up of connective tissue reducing our mobility and quality of movement.
What is Moving Fascia®?
Moving Fascia is a movement method created by Ana Barretxeguren, movement specialist, Pilates teacher and myofascial release practitioner.Through self-release and movement techniques, the Moving Fascia method softens unnecessary tension restoring mobility and elasticity and improving strength through whole body integration.
What props will I need?
Moving Fascia® classes often are mat based with the use of props such as: Moving Fascia® balls or soft foam rollers.
All our props are soft and pliable, this encourages your body to feel safe and avoids your body responding with resistance and creating extra tension.
We have listed in the class description any props you might need as well as any substitutes that you can find around the house to use instead.

How do I watch the classes?
Our entire library is hosted within the channel itself- it's like bringing the studio to your living room. There is no need to jump across lots of different links or join any zoom meetings, it all happens in one place. We love that the platform combines the ability for people to communicate and connect with others whilst benefitting from an at-home practice. We encourage you to share your experience with others in the comments box under each video.
